Lies! The bridge folk are honest god-fearing people. I won't have you slandering their good name.
And slandering the trolls is perfectly alright? I mean some of them eat children and others take human pets - but their good names should not be slandered. ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

Originally by: Bombardier McJones Many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans. And then, one Thursday, nearly two thousand years after one man had been nailed to a tree for saying how great it would be to be nice to people for a change, a girl sitting on her own in a small cafT in Rickmansworth suddenly realized what it was that had been going wrong all this time, and she finally knew how the world could be made a good and happy place. This time it was right, it would work, and no one would have to get nailed to anything. Sadly, however, before she could get to a phone to tell anyone about it, the Earth was unexpectedly demolished to make way for a new hyperspace bypass, and so the idea was lost, seemingly for ever.
Damn those Vogons! ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

Originally by: AnzacPaul The sad part about this thread is the fact that multiple devs manage to post in a no content thread, yet the 100's of worthwhile threads with even a scrap of content get overlooked.
I get that this is a fun thread and i'm all for it, it would just be nice to see the same effort across all the issue's threads that arise.
I apologize for bringing some seriousness into this thread. The fact of the matter is that while we are CCP employees, not all of us are game designers or people in positions to affect the game directly. So the ultimate troll on my part would be to go into those threads you are referring to and post there with some made-up authority. Technically I could agree with everything said but I will in 99% of the cases not deliver anything. I try and post where things fall under my purview and I'm trying to step it up and catch things that I CAN post about (again, technically I can post where ever I like - just some things I have no control over and I would just make things worse if I DID post there).
Trolling is a topic where everyone are supposed to post with authority. amirite? (I'm not saying I'm any good at it though ) ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

To be fair most of the CCP people who posted are either from Research(lol?) or Community departments so they actually do very little work on actual game issues.
Don't you lol my research mister! Data-driven game design is important and why not have a department that builds data warehouses and makes reports-on-demand rather than have the game designers do the research themselves? More time for them to design, less digging through some data. ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

I must correct your Icelandic. The first part is correct, "Hilmar getur ekki tala vi= ¦ig n·na" (Hilmar can't talk to you right now). The latter part is incorrect, as "ß" mean 'on' while "f" means 'in' (simplified of course - you are 'on a boat' "ß bßti" and 'in a car' "f bfl"). So unless Hilmar is going to stand on-top of the Japanese fashionshop, he is going "f japanska tfskuverslun" (also, no captial T).
Regards, your friendly Icelandic person. ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

It just seems like every dev that works on the issues we continually post about are absent from the forums all the time, whilst others can manage to post in almost deliberately in threads of non-gameplay consequence. Surely there is a part of CCP somewhere that is there to address player issues via the forums, which as you know is our only form of communication with the developers.
We are not asking for constant monitoring of the forums, I just think you'll find the devs taking a little time to even acknowledge the sometimes 100 of post threads and actually give some honest input.
/flame suit on for ruining the first fun dev thread in a while.
You're not ruining anything, all fun comes with a little bit of seriousness right? (that is bad translation of an Icelandic saying).
The game designers who are responsible for EVE are quite active in the 'Features and Ideas Discussion' channel - in terms of game design. Other matters are being brought to the attention of the appropriate people as the come up and there is a push in-house to have more presence on the forums (look at me for example ).
In regards to the 100s of posts threads - all the large threads get attention in-house. Don't take absence of answers for ignorance of a thread. ____________________________ CSM Project Manager

When did I say he was doing his job wrong? If the game designers want him to data mine which clothing styles are "hot or not" for the NeX store then so be it. Its all that seems to be in development at the moment.
Also flipping burgers is hard stuff. Takes years of training and practice to master. A true art form.
I agree with your burger-flipping assessment. But game designers hardly need to look at the vanity stuff as it is vanity. Balancing boots with high-heels - that is a spreadsheet I'd like to see. Right? ____________________________ CSM Project Manager
